  Snaps from Peru

Huaraz's trifecta of mountain ranges (Cordilleras Blanca, Negra & Huayhuash) attract mountaineers from the world over. Shots in and "around" town.

8 days in Israel: Ian and 9 Israelis tramp about the beautiful Cordillera Huayhuash. (Shining Path no longer included.)

Peru's North coast: grey, dry and ugly, but filled with the most wondrous things. Peek inside..

As the Andes ceded to the jungle, all the most amazing flowers started to appear. Through Peru's orchid capital and beyond..

The Amazon proper is not only the world's largest jungle, but the world's largest river system as well. Adventures in big and little boats on the way to the Rio Amazonas.

Iquitos was my finish line on the long march across Northern Peru. Infamously stranded by land, the city's market and neearby butterfly farm got all the attention.
